An unusual late 19th century silver-plated circular carriage clock.
J. W. Benson, No. 11198
Having a 4.75-inch silvered circular Roman dial engraved "J.W. BENSON LONDON", the fine two-train four-pillar movement with lever platform escapement half-hour striking on a coiled gong, stamped "J.W. BENSON 11988, in a 'bulkhead' style case with bevelled glazing on arched supports, 5.75", (14.5cm), in a rare circular black hide travelling case.
