Lot Description

Two gem-set rings. To include a late 19th century 12ct gold red paste and split pearl dress ring and a synthetic ruby and colourless paste dress ring. Weight 2.9gms.

Overall condition fair. There are scratches to the late 19th century ring, the central red paste is significantly chipped, with most of the corners chipped off, there are black marks and easily visible gas bubbles to the paste, the split pearls have sunk within their settings, the back band has bent out of shape, the hallmark is completely worn with only the 12 visible. The synthetic rubies are in good condition, there are some areas of abrasion to the colourless paste. Ring sizes Q and L1/2.
