Lot Description

A continental jug of slender baluster form with 'bark' textured handle, impressed to the underside 'sterling' and '925' alongside further marks, together with a continental tastevin of circular outline with lobed and circular moulding, also impressed '925'. Maximum height of jug measures 7 1/2 inches (19 cm), rim diameter measures 3 1/4 inches (8.2 cm), combined weight 15.53 ozt (483 grams). (2).

Both items display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Some deeper scratches, nicks and contact marks are visible to both.  A dark seam line is visible running all the way around the main body of the jug.  The main rim of the tastevin is slightly misshapen.  Some of the marks to the underside of the jug are slightly distorted.  The tastevin also has impressed mark reading 'Vourakis'.
