Lot Description

A George III silver mustard pot of oval form with gadrooned rim, blue glass liner and shell thumb piece. Hallmarked Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard I, London 1817. Height measuring 3 inches (7.5 cm), weight 3.8 ozt (119 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

The hinge is loose and allows sideways movement, hinge pin also positioned to one side. Minor dints with loss of definition. Seam visible and appears cracked. Minor chips to the blue glass liner. The glass liner is not a great fit and is likely to be a replacement. Hallmarks are significantly worn.
