Lot Description

An Edwardian silver small baluster vase with embossed foliate and circle motifs to the rim, hallmarked Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd., London 1903, height measures 3 1/2 inches (9 cm). Together with a small group of silver items to include a pair of octagonal sided open salts with blue glass liners and raised above four ball feet, hallmarked James Deakin & Sons, Chester 1914, three condiment spoons, a butterfly buckle, hallmarked James Moir, Sheffield 1900, a circular trinket box, a Georgian teaspoon, a silver topped glass caster and two French spoons (one A.F). Gross silver weight 11.5 ozt (360.3 grams).

Varied condition, however all the items in the lot display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Some deeper nicks and scratches are visible and also some surface dints and bumps.  Large dint visible to the Edwardian vase.  Also several notable dints and bumps to the trinket box.  The Georgian spoon is in very poor condition.  The finial on one of the French spoons has broken off.   The butterfly buckle is quite badly scratched with some heavy tarnishing in places.  Some rubbing but hallmarks are mainly legible.
