London Olympic Games 1908, Rowing, a gold prizewinner’s medal by Vaughton & Sons, naked male athlete standing between two seated females holding laurels aloft, rev. St George and the Dragon, Fame to left, edge engraved 'WINNER EIGHT-OARED RACE', 35mm, 15ct., 28.1g, in original plush red leather case from Vaughton. Good very fine, very rare.

The winning eight at the 1908 Olympics was a crew from Leander Rowing Club.
