A 1960s 18ct gold enamel gem-set novelty dog brooch. The blue, orange and white enamel poodle, with ruby eyes and nose and sapphire accent ears and tail. Import marks for Birmingham, 1968. Length 5.1cms. Weight 19.3gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Stamped 750, Italy. Minor losses to the enamel on one of his hind legs and to the bow in his hair. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The rubies are a well matched pinkish red hue. The sapphires are a well matched medium light blue hue. Minor-moderate abrasions. Small file mark to back of brooch.
