Lot Description

A Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch, the gilt tone dial with hourly applied Roman numerals, decoration to the centre, bordered by a minute track, round decorated case hallmarked London 1875, enamelled decoration and vacant cartouche to the rear, fitted to a three quarter plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement signed P. Gouldan, Gloucester. Case diameter 38mm. Total weight 45gms. Together with a group of five watch keys.

A key wind pocket watch signed P. Gouldan, movement is currently functioning, movement appears in good condition, fine superficial scratches to movement and screws, dial severely marked by scratching and numerals are all showing signs of wear, hands marked with fine scratches and are slightly distorted, glass has some fine scratches that may polish out, detail work on case show some light scratches consistent with general wear, dust cover has evident scratches around the winding/hand set key holes, movement hinge appears in good condition, case has medium scratches, case back hinge and spring seem in good condition, enamel work on case back shows minor wear and a number of small chips. Bow seems secure with minimal signs of wear.


Lot comes with five assorted watch keys.
