Lot Description

A Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch by Sharp, Dublin, the cream tone dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial positioned to six o'clock, bordered by a minute track, circular shaped case, hallmarked Chester 1900, fitted with a signed full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement. Case diameter 50mm. Total weight 97gms.

Movement currently functional - will need a service, some superficial markings to movement/screws, missing dust cover, minute hand is a slightly different hue to the hour hand, dial showing light scratches and dints, chip out of dial at 4 o'clock, dial has hairline cracks, dial has smudges - would benefit from careful cleaning, glass dinted and scratched - some scratches may polish out, bezel and case marked with fine scratches and dints consistent with general wear, engine-turned decoration to back heavily worn - almost completely gone, pendant worn, bow appears secure and is showing minimal signs of wear
