Lot Description

A Victorian 18ct gold keyless wind half hunter pocket watch, the white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, sunken subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, all surrounded by an outer minute track, circular shaped case with blue chapter ring to front, hallmarked London circa 1898, makers mark JW, having rubbed monogram to rear, fitted with an unsigned frosted gilt three quarter plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement, bi-metal compensation balance, blued overcoil hairspring and diamond end stone. Case diameter 52mm. Total weight 126gms.

Half hunter pocket watch, keyless wind movement in working order but will require a service, ratchet escapement in good cosmetic condition, enamel dial in good condition with no visible signs of damage, blued hands in good condition, small scratch on half hunter glass, case in good overall condition, slight scratches from general use, roman numeral chapter ring in fair condition with slight wear on the minute track, hinges in perfect working order.
