Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind open face centre seconds pocket watch, the cream tone dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track with Arabic divisions, circular shaped case with milled band and a vacant cartouche to rear, hallmarked Chester 1881, fitted with an unsigned three quarter plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 57mm.

Centre seconds pocket watch, key wind manual movement is currently functioning however stop/start function is not working, movement has marks and tarnishing, dial shows a visible chip between the nine and ten o'clock numerals, dial also shows marks and visible cracks, hands have visible marks and tarnishing, glass has marks and scratches, case has marks and scratches as a result of general use, hinge between eight and ten o'clock shows wear to the bottom corner, inner dust cover has an amateur personal engraving, pendent and bow have tarnishing, marks and scratches.
