A 19th century tortoiseshell table snuff box, the irregular octagonal body with concave sides and ribbed corners, the hinged cover having a vacant central cartouche and yellow metal strung border, the base of conforming design, 5" x 2.4" x 1.5", (12.5cm x 6cm x 4cm).
