Lot Description

A rare World War II model recognition/reconnaissance aircraft, stamped beneath 'GERMAN H'E177', 10" long x 17" wingspan, (25cm x 43cm).

Provenance: By repute, these models were used in RAF training, 'flown' across the classroom on overhead wires to acquaint ground artillery and pilots alike to the outline of the enemy aircraft. This example was given to the owner's mother by an American pilot at an Anglesey air base (Mona or Valley), ex. inf. vendor.
