A Victorian walnut and parquetry lap desk or writing box, the hinged rectangular cover decorated with a 'tumbling cube' design and brass lozenge cartouche within chain borders over conforming front, the plush lined interior with inkwells and pen tray, over secret drawers, 12" x 9" x 6" high, (30cm x 23cm x 15cm). (S/D).
