Lot Description

A rare pair of mid 18th century Derby dry-edge porcelain figures. He with striped waistcoat, pink-trimmed white jacket and knee-length breeches, playing with a dog, she with floral dress and pale green mantle, playing with a lamb, each on naturalistic base, an urn beside the female figure, 9.5", (24cm) high (restoration).

Male - raised left hand is broken at wrist and restored. Some scuffing to back of jacket. Dog's tail reattached, flaw to dog's chest. Minor gilt rubbing to base.
Female - some overpainting and spray restoration evident to back and neck, suggests head may be reattached. One thumb reattached, one ear of lamb missing.
