Lot Description
A late 19th century silver and gold moonstone and diamond double heart brooch. The double heart-shape moonstone cabochons, within a rose-cut diamond surround, to the rose-cut diamond surmount. Length 2.9cms. Weight 5.9gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear. The moonstones are well matched. Light abrasion to moonstones. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched. Due to the closed back settings and nature of the rose-cut it is not possible to calculate a total diamond weight. Based on the surface spread alone of the diamonds, they appear to occupy the same surface space as diamonds with an estimated total weight of 1ct, however it is important to note that as it is not possible to gauge the depth of the stones, this estimated weight does not reflect the true weight of the diamonds in any way.
