Lot Description

A selection of silver cutlery and flatware to include a late Victorian floral engraved serrated knife and fork with carved ivory handles, a set of six butter knives with mother-of-pearl handles, two grapefruit spoons, together with two various bone and ivory handled silver plated pickle forks. Engraved knife and fork hallmarked Sheffield 1889 and 1890. Butter knives hallmarked C W Fletcher & Son Ltd, Sheffield 1934.

Good overall condition with scratches and small dents, tarnish in keeping with age and use. Some more significant discolouration/tarnish, may require professional cleaning. Cracks to the ivory and significant wear/chemical disfiguring to the surface. Ferrules with different hallmarks to the butter knife blades. Significant wear to the plating on the pickle forks. Wear to the hallmarks, noticeably to the ferrules of the butter knives.
