Lot Description

A late George III silver baluster form caster, hallmarked Thomas Dicks, London 1818. Together with a 1920's silver octagonal baluster form caster, two Georgian and one Victorian silver salt spoons.  Height of casters 5 1/4 inches ( 13 cm) and 6 1/2 inches (16.8 cm). Gross weight 7.33 ozt (228 grams).

Good overall condition with scratches, small dents and tarnish in keeping with general wear. Georgian caster with noticeable, numerous small dents to widest area of body and to lid. Maker's mark poorly struck to base, worn but legible to lid. 1920s caster minor black spot. Hallmarked C.E, London, 1927. Spoons with varying tarnish. Some significant discolouration, may require professional cleaning. Maker's marks worn to two.
