Lot Description

A Sampson Mordan clear glass double-ended scent bottle, with crested and monogrammed silver screw and hinged mounts with rounded ends, flanking a plain glass cylindrical body. Hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co., London 1882. Maximum length measures 5 1/4 inches (13.5 cm).

The bottle displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing to the silver, commensurate with the age and use.  Some deeper scratches and nicks visible to the silver, especially the screw on lid.  Also some minor surface dints and bumps.  The screw on lid also displays some darker patches and marks.  Some faint traces of gilding.  Hinged lid and clasp in working order.  The hallmarks are clear and legible.  Some general minor nicks to the plain glass and a slightly larger chip.
