Lot Description

An Edwardian small silver sauce boat of oval form, scroll rim and shell mounted hoof feet, hallmarked William Aitken, Birmingham 1909, height including handle 3 inches (7.5 cm). Together with a cased modern silver christening set, two similar Victorian silver pin dishes, hallmarked Birmingham 1896 and Chester 1900, a composite three piece silver condiment set and silver open salt by Hukin & Heath Ltd. Gross weighable silver 11.7 ozt (365 grams). (6).

In fair to poor overall condition, also displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The sauce boat has numerous dints, feet also compressed into the body, therefore does not sit straight. Significant tear to one of the pin dishes. Liner to the mustard pot is chipped and significant dents and compression to the pepperettes. The open salt does not have a glass liner present. Hallmarks vary in condition some parts worn. Christening set comprises egg cup, napkin ring (initialled) and spoon, the case is significantly damaged.
