Lot Description

A Victorian silver aide mémoire, the oblong hinged form with foliate engraved decoration, central initial engraving within decorative borders and fluted edge opening to reveal a material lined interior with ivory days of the week pages, with original outer case. Hallmarked Frederick Marson, Birmingham 1881. Height measuring 9.8 cm.

In good overall condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

The material lining has deteriorated, pulling away from the silver case with staining. Hallmarks a little rubbed particularly the maker's mark. The outer case with general commensurate wear, hinge and clasp in working order.
