A late Victorian gold garnet brooch, circa 1880, the circular-shape garnet, within a foliate surround, to the circular-shape garnet border, with buckle detail. Length 4.7cms. Weight 9.3gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear and age. Damage visible to side of brooch near brooch hinge fitting. The metal has been bruised and has worn thin or broken away. Possible re-gilding applied. The garnets are fairly well matched. Some claws have worn thin and will need attention.
