Lot Description

A late 19th century pietra dura brooch, of circular-shape outline, the pietra dura panel depicting Edelweiss, within a rope-twist surround. Diameter 3.4cms. Weight 10.1gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition fair. There are scratches to the frame of the brooch in keeping with overall wear. There are some areas of damage to the pietra dura panel, some panelling is missing and has been replaced with glue. The back pin has been replaced, the pin and catch is secure.
