Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, Victoria, 2nd type obverse, swivel suspender, suspension replaced, renamed to 'Serj Rob Comeskey 48th Reg 1853'.


Various copies of Sergeant Robert Comeskey's service records included in the lot document that he enlisted in 1828, for the 48th Regiment of Foot, aged 14 years and 11 months (noted as underage). In 1853, aged 39 Comeskey was discharged, recorded as being medically unfit for further service, listing 21 years of service and further appointment on the permanent staff of the Northampton Militia where he served until 1877.
