Overall condition fair. All three fans are missing the ribbon which holds the sticks together. One of the pierced fans is missing the rivet and is secured with string, this fan has one stick which has a broken section to the bottom of the the stick. To the carved fan, the end stick has been glued about halfway down where it looked to have snapped in half, the carving to this fan is in very good condition, is of a very high quality and the detail is very finely done. The rivet to the other pierced fan is not original and is not secured and there is a small section towards the top of one stick where the pierced detail is broken and leaves a hole measuring approximately 7 by 13mm. The bone bodkin case has three large cracks to it, a chip to one screw end and glue remnants to the other. The rest of the pieces are in fair to good condition in general.
