Lot Description
An early George III silver porringer of classic form, the lower body with oblique fluting, floral and scroll embossed surround to the later monogrammed cartouche, twin reeded handles and 1920's personal inscription to the inner flared lip. Hallmarked London 1764 with the maker's mark WC. Height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weight 5.1 ozt (161 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A little rubbing to the definition of the decoration and loss of some decoration, in particular the decoration bordering the girdle. Minor dints and bumps. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark partly distorted.
