Two similar George III silver beakers of plain tapered form with engraved crest. Hallmarked London 1778, maker's mark W.E (?). Height measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), gross weight 8.3 ozt (259 grams). (2).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
Heavy tarnishing. Heavy file mark and acid test to each. Numerous dents to bottom rims. Slight difference in height of the beakers. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Maker's mark distorted. Traces of gilt to interiors.
