A late Victorian embossed silver bowl, the monogrammed oval shaped cartouche, within a scrolling foliate panel, to the acanthus leaf sides and floral base. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co, London 1885. Diameter 3 3/4 inches (9.6 cm), weight 3.97 ozt (123.7 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There is a moderately large, shallow dent to the edge of the foot ring. Maker's mark possibly overstruck.
