Lot Description

A late Victorian silver vase, of tapered cylindrical form on a circular foot rim, with gadroon and floral impressed panels, together with an early twentieth century filled silver octagonal trumpet vase. Hallmarked Henry Stratford, Sheffield 1892 and James Deakin & Sons, Sheffield 1915. Heights 9 1/16 and 7 10/16 inches (23 and 19.2 cm), gross weight 16.65 ozt (517.9 grams). (2).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Maker's marks slightly worn to Victorian example. Victorian vase slightly bent to foot rim, vase wobbles slightly. Octagonal vase has filled base. Numerous shallow dents to stem.
