An early George III small silver mug of baluster form, floral and scroll embossing to the initialled cartouche. Hallmarked James Stamp & John Baker, London 1764. Height measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 5.1 ozt (159 grams).

Condition Report

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some rubbing to the embossed decoration with loss of detail. Traces of gilt to interior. It is possible that some decoration was applied after the hallmarking date. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark partly over stamped.
