A Victorian pair of silver butter dishes, each modelled as an oyster shell above three ball feet. Hallmarked Josiah Williams & Co (George Maudsley Jackson), London 1890. Length measures 5 inches (12.7 cm), weight 4.52 ozt (140.6 grams).

Condition Report
Both dishes display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier spots/patches of tarnishing to some areas. Some small edge nicks and dints are visible to both. Possible repair to one of the ball feet. Remnants of polish. Some rubbing and slight distortion to hallmarks and maker's marks but they are still legible. One of date letters is particularly distorted.
