Lot Description
An Edwardian silver-gilt basket, the circular body with flared sides of pierced and woven form leading to a reeded and scalloped rim, a further vertical pierced gallery mounting the four turned paw feet. Hallmarked Carrington & Co, London 1909. Height measuring 6 1/4 inches (16 cm), weight 32.6 ozt (1015 grams).

Condition Report
The basket displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Several deeper scratches, nicks and marks are visible and the gilding is worn to some areas, especially to the centre of the basket and to the feet, where there are various dark patches. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
