Lot Description

A selection of items to include an early twentieth century silver cream jug, a 1920's silver bonbon dish with pierced foliate motif, a 1920's silver tea strainer, together with three Charles Horner silver mounted hatpins and another hatpin. Tea strainer hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd, Birmingham 1928. Gross weight 6.26 ozt (195 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The cream jug has a repair to the top of the handle. Some of the legs are slightly bent. Hallmarks very worn, maker's mark illegible. Trinket dish hallmarked William Walter Cashmore, Birmingham 1929. Tea strainer has minor shallow dents. Charles Horner hat pins include Welsh hat with shallow dents, a purple paste thistle, together with another, AF, deficient the middle section with soft solder. Remaining hatpin appears to be a pomander of sorts, stamped silver, significantly dented. Pins discoloured and rusty.
