ROLEX - a stainless steel automatic gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Submariner bracelet watch presented by COMEX circa 1974, COMEX serial number heavily rubbed but still visible as 2423, the black dial with hourly applied luminous markers, date aperture positioned to three o'clock, bordered by an outer minute track, black calibrated bezel, tonneau shaped case, signed "ROLEX" and "COMEX", reference number 5514, serial number 4089886 engraved between six o'clock lugs and to the inside of the case back, fitted to a later Oyster link bracelet with Fliplock clasp, signed calibre 1520. Case width 39mm. Bezel A/F.

Gents Stainless Steel Rolex Comex issue Submariner, movement appears to currently functioning, movement shows signs of previous intervention particularly to the screwheads, wear to the rotor bridge, dial appears in good condition with clear dial logo and text, hour markers appear slightly discoloured and dull, hands in good condition with luminescent appearing strong, possible replacement, plexi-glass is heavily scratched with large scratches towards 7/8 o'clock and obscures dial, chips are also evident around edge, casing is heavily scratches throughout, unidirectional bezel is lightly scratched and no longer operates, pearl is fixed at 12 o'clock and slightly chipped to its cover, case back is scratched through previous use and is engraved with Rolex, Coronet, Comex, previous service marks on inside of case back, watch fitted to stainless steel bracelet containing heavy scratching throughout, links are slightly stretched, primary clasp does not activate or connect and features heavy scratching, secondary security clasp connects however is loose, clasp extension appears to connect,
Due to the opening of this case back we recommend that this watch is sealed by an authorised technician before use near water.
