Lot Description

A 20th century 18ct gold keyless wind open face pocket watch by J.W. Benson, the silvered dial with hourly applied Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial positioned to six o'clock, bordered by a minute track, round case, import hallmarks for London 1919, fitted with an unsigned seventeen jewel movement with club tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 48mm. Total weight 67gms.

J.W. Benson pocket watch, the keyless wind movement is currently functioning, the dial shows light scuffs in various places, noticeable only under closer inspection, letters to the dial appear to be slightly faded, hands appear to be in a quite pleasant condition with only few light scuffs to the minute hand, glass appears to be in the same state, case shows general marks and scratches consistent with general wear, majority appears to be superficial only and should polish out.
