A French enamel and cameo mounted alabaster mantel clock.

Japy Freres, Paris.

The 3.5 inch dial with applied brass  Roman numerals, the two train movement with 1855 Medailles Exhibition stamp and oval stamp "Gardien & Cheron Paris", numbered 1171, outside countwheel striking on a bell, the case with urn surmount, oval cameo medallion and turned supports flanking the dial housing with enamelled cabochons, over conforming plinth with twin cameos, raised on six toupie feet, 14.5" (37cm) high, on ebonised base with glass dome
