Lot Description

A George II silver cream jug, the plain pear shaped body with sparrow beak spout, scrolling handle and raised on a flared circular foot. Hallmarked London 1743 with the maker's mark WG tentatively attributed to William Garrard. Height measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 2.7 ozt (83.9 grams).

Condition Report

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints and bumps. Wobbles a little. No engravings. Possible solder repairs to spout. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
