Lot Description

An early nineteenth century Russian silver cream jug, the lobed body with gadrooned shoulder and rim, foliate handle and silver-gilt interior. Russian assay marks for St. Petersburg, the standard mark of 84 and probably the maker's mark for Alexander Yarshinov (1795-1826). Height measuring 4 3/4 inches (12 cm), weight 9.3 ozt (290 grams).
