Lot Description

A George III silver toddy ladle with twisted baleen handle and coin inset bowl, hallmarked London 1791 with the maker's mark I.M. Together with a modern silver candle snuffer, hallmarked W I Broadway & Co, Birmingham 1986, and a smaller silver toddy ladle with baleen handle and armorial engraved bowl, hallmarks obscured. (3).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Dents and wear evident on the Georgian ladle, hallmarks rubbed and maker's mark partially obscured, the handle has a split and is detached. The smaller ladle is very dented and distorted in shape, hallmarks completely obscured, maker's mark partially visible, handle very brittle and fraying. Snuffer tarnished but in otherwise good condition.
