Lot Description

Three late 19th century garnet and paste brooches, to include a vari-shape garnet and red paste trefoil panel brooch suspending a similarly set drop, a cluster brooch, together with a graduated oval-shape garnet brooch. Lengths 5.5 to 3.3cms. Weight of twin pear-shape brooch 6.6gms.

Condition Report

The lot is in good to fair overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. At least two of the brooches appear to have been converted from other items of jewellery. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. Garnets and red paste are well matched. Some garnets foil back. Garnets to twin pear-shape panel brooch vary slightly more in colour, brooch believed to be gold, base metal pin. Garnets have small nicks and chips, minor abrasion. Total weight 23.9gms.
