MAPPIN & WEBB - a mid 20th century, structured brown leather handbag, with panelled crocodile skin pattern, hinged gold-tone hardware and top latch closure, together with an early 20th century non designer, French black velvet evening bag with decorative embellished latch closure and imitation pearl detail. Bag lengths 22.5 to 19cms. Handles measure 34 to 13cms.

Condition Report
Overall good to fair condition. Signs of wear in keeping with age and general use.
Leather worn to bottom corners and edges of Mappin & Webb handbag. Leather handle also worn with upper leather layer split along the centre crease. The stitching has been broken at the centre of the handle resulting with a small separated section between top and bottom layers of leather. Moderate to heavy scratches to metal hardware . The interior suede lining is discolored.
Metal hardware of velvet bag tarnished. No damage or marks to the black velvet. Inner lining stained and discoloured.
