Lot Description

Two late 19th and early 20th century gold split pearl and gem-set brooches. To include an alternating split pearl and circular lapis lazuli cabochon brooch with split pearl and cannetille surround, together with a 15ct gold square-shape collet and split pearl bar brooch. Lengths 5.8 and 4.5cms. Weight 14.1gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Sapphire bar brooch with engraved date to side "July 1924". Stamped 15ct. Lapis lazuli brooch with discolouration. Split pearls well matched, minor discolouration. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. Lapis lazuli untested for natural colour origin. The lapis lazuli are a moderately well matched medium though deep blue hue. The sapphire is a light medium blue hue. Some deeper scratches to lapis brooch reverse.
