An early 20th century 15ct gold amethyst, emerald and baroque pearl garland necklace. Designed as a circular-shape amethyst and scalloped halo lattice, with seed pearl and emerald bead spacers and baroque pearl terminal drops, to the trace-link back chain and barrel clasp. Length 45.2cms. Weight 9.1gms.


This piece displays the green, white and purple associated with the suffragette movement.

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Stamped 15ct to clasp. The seed pearls are baroque in nature. Moderately well matched with a pearly white colour. uneven surface and size, surface discolouration, small rough areas, possible slight wear. General small dents to the amethyst surrounds. Amethyst well matched with a medium slightly pinkish purple hue. Some light eye visible inclusions. Minor abrasion. The emeralds are slightly uneven, approximately graduated oval-shape beads, moderately well matched in colour with a medium slightly bluish green hue. Large, eye visible inclusions including some brown discolouration. Some gems possible replacements.
