Lot Description

A good late 19th/ early 20th century Chinese lacquer, watercolour and ivory fan.

Finely painted with a scene of figures on terraces and in garden rooms, their faces applied in painted ivory, the reverse painted with birds perching upon a blossoming branch, the sticks black-lacquered with gilded details, forming a figural scene when opened, 14" (35.5cm) long, in original fitted box with retailer's labels, the exterior also black-lacquered.
