Lot Description

A late 19th century gold amethyst and split pearl pendant, the pear-shape foil back amethyst, suspended from a circular foil back amethyst cabochon and split pearl cluster cross panel and openwork surmount. Length 5.5cms. Weight 10.8gms.

Condition Report

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Slight wear to the gilt finish. Foil backing to gems shows deterioration. Amethyst appear a purple through reddish purple hue. Minor inclusions. Split pearls moderately well matched, minor discolouration. Possible replacement gems. General dirt. Glazed panel to reverse. Slight wear to gilt finish.
