Lot Description

A late Victorian 9ct gold split pearl and onyx brooch, the central split pearl star atop an oval onyx panel to the rope-twist and black enamel surround and vacant panel reverse. Length 4.5cms Weight 19gms.

Condition Report

Overall good condition, with general surface scratches and minor nicks in keeping with the age of the piece. There are some small surface chips to the enamel, but none show the metal beneath. It is believed to be 9ct gold with a higher carat gilding. Pin in good working order.
