Lot Description

A mid 19th century 9ct gold coral bracelet, designed as a series of fluted coral curved double panels, with shield-shape coral scroll panel intervals, to the partially concealed clasp. Coral untested for natural colour origin. Length 16.5cms. Weight 21.3gms.

Overall condition fair. Some surface wear and light scratches in keeping with age. Light indentations to the reverse of some of the panels. Some wear to the gilt surface. Replacement gilt metal safety chain, wear to the gilt surface. Coral untested for natural colour origin. One coral panel broken, fractured in two. Broken coral panel repaired with minimal glue residue visible. Coral pinkish-red, moderate colour saturation. Colour distribution slightly uneven with some lighter patches.
