A George III silver mug of plain baluster form, leaf capped scrolling handle and raised on a spreading circular footed base. Hallmarked John King, London 1777. Height measuring 4 7/8 inches (12.5 cm), weight 10.2 ozt (318 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints and bumps. Possible repair to handle, the seam to the handle has also become visible. No personal engravings. The hallmarks are partly worn, in particular the maker's mark.
