Lot Description
An eighteenth century Channel Islands silver Christening cup, circa 1780, of classic form with personal engraving, twin beaded scrolling handles and raised on a circular footed base. Struck to the underside four times with the maker's mark ID for Jean-Pierre du Port, Guernsey. Height measuring 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm), weight 3.5 ozt (109 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A number of dents to the foot, small crack to the surface of the silver also to the underside of the foot. Heavy patina across the surface.
