Lot Description
A late eighteenth century or early nineteenth century Channel Islands silver beaker, the plain campana form engraved '264 277 E N Neel 1816' and resting on a circular footed base. Struck once to the underside with the maker's mark IQ, for Jacques Quesnel I, Jersey. Height measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 3.6 ozt (114 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A number of minor dents across the bottom of the body. Heavier scratches to the inside. Scratch through '264' . Maker's mark IQ struck clearly. Areas of discolouration and patina across the body. The numbers appear 'punched' and imprinted to the inside, these also are likely to have been added at a later date.
